Musculoskeletal Tumour Surgery
I trained in musculo-skeletal tumour surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and the New South Wales Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma Service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. I am now one of the surgeons for the East Midlands Sarcoma Service based in Leicester and Nottingham.
My tumour practice includes soft tissue sarcoma surgery, and the management of metastatic bone disease and pathological fractures as well as benign tumours of bone and soft tissue. I also manage patients for problems related to cancer therapy such as avascular necrosis following radiotherapy.
I have published widely on tumours, trauma and arthroplasty. Metastatic disease continues to be my major research interest.
In 2014 I was selected as a British Orthopaedic Association ABC Travelling Fellow and visited 12 centres in the United States and Canada.
